JVC just released the Xiview JVC LT-42WX70, an ultra-slim, wide-range flat-screen LCD for digital SLR users. The 42 "TV 120 Hz 1080p LCD monitor features color space that includes the expanded capacity to 100 percent of the distribution of HDTV color space sRGB.904 and a coverage rate of 96 per cent for Adobe RGB. Digital photos taken with the Adobe RGB color space and displayed on the LT-42WX70 Adobe RGB mode supposedly be reproduced with colors faithful to the original. In addition, the LT-42WX70-52 also adjust the image quality to change the properties of images and video to the exact color and tone of the user prefers. For example, the parameters for management of red, yellow, green, cyan shades and colors, and skin color may be adjusted on the screen using the supplied remote. The JVC LT-42WX70 is now available and is priced at $ 2399.95.
Sanyo is set to add, once again, to its projector range with their Sanyo PLC-XTC50L Portable Multimedia Projector which comes with dual lamps and an ‘industry leading’ lamp selection system that offers extended use – up to a purported 6000 hours – by alternating between the two available lamps (though dual lamp operation is, of course, still selectable). Offering a maximum of 5000 ANSI lumen brightness, the Sanyo PLC-XTC50L Portable Multimedia Projector can also be purchased with the optional Sanyo PL-Net Organizer which, according to Sanyo, ‘makes the PLC-XTC50L particularly useful for around-the-clock digital signage, advertising and information boards’ thanks to offering selected, timed switching between both available lamps according to specific times or dates.
